National Cadet Corps (N.C.C.)

The 7(TN) BN NCC E1 - Company, is functioning in our college with a sanctioned strength of 52 cadets and 1 officer. Established in the year 2005 this unit has achieved several landmarks and has added several feathers to the crown of LATHA MATHAVAN POLYTECHNIC COLEGE. Till yet 464 NCC cadets completed the B & C certificate Exams.

NCC Motto

The motto of NCC is 'Unity & Discipline' which was adopted on 23 Dec 1957. In living up to its motto, the NCC strives to be and is one of the greatest cohesive forces of the nation, bringing together the youth hailing from different parts of the country and moulding them into united, secular and disciplined citizens of the nation.

NCC PLEDGE

WE THE CADET OF THE NATIONAL CADET CORPS,
DO SOLOEMNLY PLEDGE THAT WE SHALL ALWAYS UPHOLD THE UNITY OF INDIA.
WE RESOLVE TO BE DISCIPLINED AND RESPONSIBLE CITIZEN OF OUR NATION.
WE SHALL UNDERTAKE POSITIVE COMMUNITY SERVICE IN THE SPIRIT OF SELFLESSNESS
AND CONCERN FOR OUR FELLOW BEINGS.

ACTIVITIES

All the cadets are being given basic infantry and weapon training. In addition to this, they are also trained in areas like small arms firing, bridging, mine-breaching, water supply, explosives, and obstacle removal etc all pertaining to the corps of Engineers in the Indian Army. Also the NCC cadets perform various other adventure activities throughout the year.

• Guard of Honour to Dr.APJ Abdual Kalam and attended his motivational talk.
• Trecking at various places.

• Most of our NCC Cadets join in other Uniform services.
• We Promote Good citizen of INDIA.
